Faculty Awards

Ask an Engineer

MIT School of Engineering faculty are recognized worldwide for advancing knowledge and improving lives through groundbreaking research and innovation.

Engineering faculty and researchers are among the most decorated scholars and educators in the world. They have earned the highest honors in their fields—from elections to the National Academies to prestigious national and international medals and society awards—in recognition of their far-reaching contributions to research, technology, education, and society.

Each year, the School of Engineering celebrates faculty who demonstrate exceptional commitment to teaching and mentorship through its annual Teaching Awards.

School of Engineering Teaching Awards

MIT School of Engineering Teaching Awards honor faculty who go above and beyond to inspire, challenge, and support their students. These educators exemplify MIT’s spirit of curiosity and innovation—continuously reimagining how engineering is taught and learned across classrooms, labs, and communities.
