Internal Funding Opportunities
The School of Engineering Dean’s Office and our units provide internal funding opportunities that empower our engineering community to pursue bold ideas — advancing research, accelerating discovery, and shaping innovations that move from the lab to the world.
School of Engineering Research Tool and Equipment Support Seed Grant
The School of Engineering Research Tool and Equipment Support Seed Grant provides critical funding for physical research equipment, ensuring that departments, labs, and centers have access to cutting-edge technologies and the infrastructure needed to advance discovery. Selected projects are often cross-cutting — uniting multiple faculty and research groups across the School of Engineering—to spark new collaborations and strengthen shared capabilities. Funds may support new tools and hardware or upgrades to existing equipment and service contracts, helping sustain the research ecosystem that powers innovation. In its pilot year, the program provided $1.2 million for 16 projects.
