Admissions
MIT Admissions oversees the application process for students applying for first-year and transfer undergraduate admissions. When you’re admitted to MIT as a first-year student, you’re admitted to the entire Institute. We don’t ask you to decide on a major until you’ve had a chance to explore our academic offerings. Most MIT students declare a major in the spring of their first year, though some wait until the end of their sophomore year.
