System Design and Management
MIT’s System Design and Management (SDM) Program offers a customizable portfolio of programs for companies seeking to build or strengthen a systems thinking capability within their technical organizations. This includes:

The SDM Master’s Program
A career-compatible 13-24 month program for experienced technical professionals leading to an MS in engineering and management granted jointly by MIT’s School of Engineering and MIT Sloan School of Management. Full/part time, on-campus and distance learning options are available.

The SDM Graduate Certificate Program in Systems Engineering
A one year primarily-at-a-distance program focusing on systems architecture, product design and development, and systems engineering. Students take one distance class per semester and spend 10 content days on the MIT campus.

Workshops in Systems Engineering for Organizational Leaders
Designed to facilitate effective utilization of systems engineering methods and management of SDM Master’s and Certificate Program graduates.
