School of Engineering honors staff with annual awards

The MIT School of Engineering celebrates the accomplishments and dedication of its staff each year by honoring individual members with the Ellen J. Mandigo Award for Outstanding Service and the Infinite Mile Award. Recipients were honored at an awards ceremony on June 16, 2025.

 “Today, we shine a spotlight on the staff whose tremendous efforts have helped make the MIT School of Engineering both the top engineering school in the world and a strong, collaborative, innovative, and welcoming community where we all can do our best work,” said MIT Provost Anantha P. Chandrakasan, former dean of engineering, in his opening remarks at the celebration. 

 The 2025 Mandigo Award recipients are:

 James Hardsog, the IT Manager in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

 Gerri Powers, a Senior Administrative Assistant in the Department of Biological Engineering.

 The 2025 Infinite Mile Award recipients are:

Molly Chase, the Communications Manager for the MIT Climate and Sustainability Consortium (MCSC).

Yuvie Cjapi, formerly the Executive Assistant to School of Engineering Dean Anantha Chandrakasan and currently the Executive Assistant to the Chancellor.

Michele Harris, the Director of Human Resources for the School of Engineering Dean’s Office.

Irene Yong Rong Huang, the Senior Financial Administrator & Special Projects Liaison in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.

Oltiana Kacori, a Human Resources Administrator for the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics (CTL).

John Mayo, an Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Saana McDaniel, the Assistant Director II and Academic Programs Administrator in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Kevin Rogers, the Facilities Manager in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

Caitlin Stier, the Communication Lab and Career Services Manager for the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Magdalah Wesh, the Senior Financial Coordinator in the Institute of Medical Engineering and Science.

Anne Wilson, the Communications Manager in the Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Lili Zhu, the Financial Officer for the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
