Manish Raghavan
Manish Raghavan (shared appointment in EECS and the MIT Schwarzman College of Computing) will join the Sloan School of Management and the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as an assistant professor in September 2022. He received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California at Berkeley, and PhD from the Computer Science department at Cornell University. Prior to joining MIT, he was a postdoc at the Harvard Center for Research on Computation and Society. His research interests lie in the application of computational techniques to domains of social concern, including algorithmic fairness and behavioral economics, with a particular focus on the use of algorithmic tools in the hiring pipeline. He is also a member of Cornell’s Artificial Intelligence, Policy, and Practice initiative and Mechanism Design for Social Good.
