Lesley Rock-Muska

Lesley Rock-Muska, a Senior Communications Officer for the School of Engineering, has been recognized for her stellar contributions in creating a celebratory book commemorating the 5th anniversary of the Building 31 renovations. Lesley served tremendously as a guide in collecting content for the time sensitive project, and transformed the material into a beautifully designed book.

I will celebrate my 10-year anniversary of working in the Dean’s Office this fall.

Describe your role and responsibilities at MIT:
I work with school and Institute leadership to develop communications strategies for high-profile fundraising initiatives. More specifically, I create communication materials, ranging from talking points to presentations, proposals, and stewardship reports, that engage donors and inspire philanthropic investment in the School of Engineering.

What is your favorite part of your job:
I thoroughly enjoy translating complex technical information into approachable content that resonates with audiences. I especially love helping the school’s leadership, faculty, and students speak with passion about their game-changing research to prospective donors.

Do you have any hobbies or interests:
When I am not at MIT, I enjoy cooking, gardening, and doing Pilates. I am also trying to learn the game of golf, which I am told will be a life-long journey regardless of how good I get.
